Good morning everyone, it’s RAY here. Last time, I mentioned that while 3K Factory is still considered the best factory for replica Patek Philippe watches, some of their models are actually a bit weaker compared to other factories. Today, I’m going to show you exactly where APW Factory’s Patek replicas outperform 3K.
Back in 2025, APW Factory launched two AQUANAUT models—the 5168G in blue and green. Those who got them early called it the most accurate replica currently in China’s replica watch market. But since it hasn’t been out for too long, a lot of people are still on the fence. You might recognize the APW name—if I mention Audemars Piguet, it’ll probably click. Yeah, they started by specializing in AP replicas. Honestly, I was surprised too when they suddenly moved into Patek Philippe last year, and what’s more, they did a pretty good job.

Dial Details: APW Wins on Color, 3K Loses on Finishing
To really see the differences, I got two Patek 5168s—one from each factory.
I. Blue Dial: APW uses a triple vacuum plating. Under light, you can see the cobalt blue doesn’t have a purple tint. But the gradient is too smooth—it misses that slight electric sparkle of the original. 3K’s blue dial is a bit more purple, but the grid pattern edges are sharper, and under strong light, the grain looks closer to the older European-made dials.

II. Green Dial: APW’s “avocado” green is more accurate. Outdoors, it shifts from golden to green—really nice. But after filling the markers with lume, the surface is slightly raised. 3K’s green is more muted, but the markers stay perfectly flush with the dial.

III. Date Window: APW’s font is thicker and more 3D, and the window is beveled. But the foot on the number “1” is a bit too long. 3K’s font is lighter, but the shape is 1:1. It is a highly accurate replica watch.
So if you want better color accuracy, go with APW. If you care more about shape and proportions, 3K is the choice. Each has its own strengths.
Case Details: APW Has Better Bevels, 3K Has More Consistent Brushing
I. Size: I measured both with calipers. Diameter, lug width, thickness—all within 0.05mm. Basically impossible to tell by eye. This one’s a tie between APW and 3K.

II. Brushing: 3K uses 120 lines per side, all parallel and very neat. APW uses the same density, but because their tungsten steel inner ring is so hard, the CNC tool vibrated slightly, leaving very faint marks about 0.01mm deep in some spots.
III. Beveling: APW polishes the back of the lugs to a 45° angle—feels very smooth to the touch. 3K keeps a sharp, right-angle cut, which looks more bold. Actually, the original only has bevels on the steel version; the white gold version has sharp angles. So in this case, 3K might be more accurate.
IV. Clasp: APW’s “750” marking is stamped—the edges are sharp and can leave white marks on the rubber strap after just a few opens/closes. 3K uses laser etching. It’s a bit shallower, but the edges are rounded, so it’s safer and more durable.
Weight: APW Feels Substantial, 3K Wears Lighter
The genuine Patek 5168G weighs 126g. I put APW’s version on the scale—it’s around 114g. Their tungsten bezel alone accounts for 8g. On the wrist, it feels solid and doesn’t slide around, but you’ll feel it when lying down. 3K’s version weighs 102g. It’s noticeably lighter than APW, doesn’t stick to your skin in summer sweat, but it can feel a bit more “plastic.” If you want a more genuine feel, choose APW. If you want to forget you’re wearing it, choose 3K. This is actually one of the most common points people bring up when discussing which factory of replica watches has the best quality.

Movement: Same Base, Different Fate
Both 3K and APW use the Dandong 324 movement, but their finishing differs.
I. Decoration: APW’s rotor has a deep, mirror-polished engraving—looks amazing in photos. 3K uses a flat brushed finish. It doesn’t photograph as well, but under a loupe in normal light, you can see the finishing is actually very good.
II. Noise: APW thinned the edge of the rotor for looks, so the winding sound is a bit louder than 3K’s. You can hear a slight “whirring” in a quiet room. 3K’s movement is almost silent, which is better if you’re sensitive to sound.

III. Repairs: 3K has been around a long time. Parts are easy to find, and you can get replacements anytime. APW just started in 2025, so if you need a part, you might have to wait. For buyers who care about reliability, how to maintain a replica watch to ensure its durability is definitely something worth thinking about.
If you like an impressive display case back, choose APW. If you’re practical, 3K is the safer bet.
Price & After-Sales: 3K Has Stock, APW Has New-Factory Premium
3K Factory Patek AQUANAUT 5168: $569, ready stock.
APW Factory Patek AQUANAUT 5168: $840, noticeably more expensive.

Both offer the same warranty—movement only, no coverage for external parts. So we’re left with two options: If your budget is tight and you want solid movement and looks, go with 3K. If you don’t mind paying a few hundred more for better dial color and details, and you’re okay with a newer product, choose APW.
By now, I think it’s clear. Neither APW nor 3K is a bad choice. It comes down to which features matter more to you. Whichever factory you pick, you’ll be getting high-quality Patek Philippe replica watches—I can guarantee that.
